Linseed Oil

Linseed Oil

Oil treatment became very smart lately, but there is nothing wrong with it, because this method is truly effective and safe for hair. More and more willingly we reach for pure vegetable oils, and we put aside chemical products from shops. Let us introduce one of the oil favourites of many women – linseed oil. How does is work in a hair care?

Linseed oil consists of valuable properties, which have positive influence on hair condition. By using linseed oil regularly we can observe significant decrease of hair loss, moisture of dry hair, nourishment and elasticity. Linseed oil provides protective properties against harmful UV radiation and oxidative stress, but also supports lipid barrier of epidermis by protecting skin and hair against damages and premature ageing.

Because of high concentration of fatty acids omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9, linseed oil will be much better for women with high porosity hair (with much less adhering cuticles) – dry, brittle, very damaged, weak, rough in touch and falling out.

OIL TREATMENT OF ENTIRE HAIR

The most popular method of oil treatment with linseed oil is oil treatment on the entire hair length. It is recommended to apply one table spoon of linseed oil on hair, leave it over night and wash hair with a delicate shampoo in the morning.

OIL TREATMENT OF SCALP

In case, when we want to use oil locally to eliminate skin problems of scalp (e.g. dandruff, oily hair) or to accelerate hair growth, we should apply it only on the scalp. Oil treatment of scalp is performed as usual, only that we do not apply oil on the entire length.

OIL TREATMENT ON HAIR ENDS

Properties of linseed oil make it perfect in protection of hair ends against damages, breakage and split ends. Few drops of oil apply on hands and then only on the hair ends. Keep it on for a longer moment and then rinse it.

OIL HAIR MASK

For people who like to apply nourishing hair masks, linseed oil will be a great idea for enriching of standard hair mask. Home-made hair mask or any conditioner can be enriched with few drops of linseed oil.
